""My baby has no anus."" - a review by timchuma

This movie starts with a triad boss, Jan Yim, smashing a bottle over a rival boss' head after he starts giving him some lip. Big Mouth, the man who had a bottle smashed over his head, said that Jan Yim is old-fashioned because he didn't know about the Internet or what an IPO is. (True!)

Jan Yim says even though it could get him into trouble, he has to 'put on a show' now and again to show the other gangs he means business. Jan Yim then introduces us to his bodyguard, an ex-soccer star called Yeung, his ex-lawyer legal council (who represented his wife in a divorce trial so they beat him up; now they are good friends), his mistress JoJo and finally his wife Sophie (who is in her 'hungry tigress' stage as he puts it).

After an attempt on his life (they all hide under the car while a sniper shoots at them), Jan Yim calls a meeting with the other triad bosses, where Kei says he also saw a killer, the doctor diagnosed him with lung cancer. Everyone else at the table immediately starts offering Kei advice about traditional remedies he should try, so Jan Yim is not heard when he asks who tried to kill him.

The movie continues with more action, attempts on Jan Yim's life by rival gangs and a good sequence about Jan Yim meeting his wife in London years ago when she was a punk. I liked this movie, but I did have some problems with it, mainly because it couldn't seem to figure out whether it wanted to be a crime story, a comedy or a love story.

timchuma gives this movie 7 out of 10.
