pearly's Bio

I'd had it in my head for a long time that it would be fun to have a movie reviews site - even if the web is already overcrowded with them. So, after spending countless days coming up with a good domain name, mino and I finally got off our lazy bottoms and did something about it. And here it is.

I love movies. I'm not going to write review after review about the number of ways in which films could be better, and why you should definitely not go and see this or that; that's mino's job. I guess I'm just easily pleased, because I'd rather see a halfway decent film than no film at all.

If I had to choose, I'd pick Kevin Spacey as my favourite actor. However, I prefer not to choose. But there's one thing I am sure about, and that is that I hated Dances with Wolves (1990). My favourite cinema is Melbourne's Rivoli. My favourite movie-going snack is the choc-top. And that's about all you need to know.

  1. Hi,
I'm guessing from the timing of your comment that you caught this doco when it was on SBS yesterday.

I'm afraid I can't help you out with a DVD copy, but hopefully someone who can will stumble onto your comment eventually.

    Good luck!

  2. Hi Amanda,
I'm not disputing the fact that there were backpacker murders. I'm disputing the supposed fact that this film is based on those murders, and that it's a close enough account of what happened that it could have an effect on the outcome of a court case to do with similar events.
